COURT #4 UPDATE!
At the Board Study Session last Thursday, the SCOV board resisted the PBC request to restripe Court 4 for exclusive PB use. Instead, they decided to wait for the Hard Court Task Force to complete their work which is supposed to conclude by June 1st. We expressed our support for Pickle ball in our community and the need for more permanent PB courts. We want to continue to cooperate with the PB players as this issue moves forward.

Tennis Ball Recycling is Here!
The board has approved a plan to recycle used tennis balls. We will work with reBounces.com. Republic Service has provided a blue recycle bin which is near the picnic table at the courts. Please put all of your used tennis balls in this bin. Many thanks to Karen Frolich for all her research and efforts to bring this program to our club. The club’s responsibility will be to underwrite the cost of shipping the boxes of used balls to reBounce.

“Tennis is a young man’s game. Until you’re twenty-five, you can play singles. From twenty-five to thirty-five, you should play doubles. I won’t tell you exactly how old I am, but when I played, there were twenty-eight men on the court—just on my side of the net.” -George Burns
